On Friday the 9th September, we will be catching a bus to Araluen Botanic Gardens, leaving at around 8.30am. Once there we will be divided into two groups. We will have Grant Dixon and the head gardener Alan taking the groups for a walk and talk around the park. Morning tea will be provided and there will be free time before we board the bus to our lunch destination.
Lunch will be held at a lovely restaurant called Hops Scotch where there will be a nice menu to choose from, then back on the bus to go to a workshop on composting and worm farming with Kim Frankowiak.
We will be arriving back to the Ibis Hotel between 4 – 5 pm.
This day will cost $150 pp.
On Saturday the 10th September, we will be spending the day at Dunn’s Herbal Clinic where we will be taking a walk and talk with Kath Dunn. After this we will be participating in workshops [first aid from your garden, face line recognition, etc].
Included will be morning tea and a very nice lunch. In the afternoon we will be having a talk from Vickie Shina from Marvick Native Farm on Bush Lime, Desert Lime and native herbs.
We then leave Dunns and arrive back at the Ibis around 5 pm, giving us one hour to get beautiful so that we can catch the bus to the Cooking Professor cooking school in Mt Hawthorn for our conference farewell dinner. The dinner will finish around 9 pm and we should arrive back at the Ibis Hotel before 10 pm.
This day will cost $250 pp.
We do hope that you will think about joining us, either on the tour/conference or for either Friday and/or Saturday.
